I mainly enjoy industrial rock and prog. metal, basic genres tend to be too simplistic. That said, I like a huge variety of music, old and new. But we do it anyway. I work at TelstraClear five days a week. Surprisingly good fun, for the most part. I used to work at Micky Finn's on Hereford street, so chances are if you've seen me around somewhere before, it was there. Or, y'know, Granite, where I spend far too much time.

Okay, so I’m two weeks behind. This isn’t a pay-per-use service, y’know. Heh. Maybe when people start paying me to advertise, I’ll get motivated more often. Or something! Your brand on my I’m Famous Online jacket, just think of the possibilities.
Anyhoo, it’s been a busy wee while, not that that’s out of the ordinary for me. In our last episode, I had just seen Iron Man and spent a weekend doing the usual in town. Well, that followed up by seeing Indiana Jones with New Friend Sarah the Muppet, her sister, and another Nick (But that one had a C) on the Monday. ‘Twas a rather decent romp of a movie, plenty entertaining, though the mystery wasn’t exactly ambiguous. Some truly cheeseriffic lines, too – “The space BETWEEN the spaces.” “There was no treasure, it was knowledge, knowledge was their treasure.” Heh heh.
Saw a rather hilarious sign on a vending machine, too. It was ill. STAY AWAY. You might get some nasty vending machine disease.
The rest of the week continued relatively uneventfully, with another Thursday I didn’t bother to go out. Liz had attempted to drag me out, but meh said I. Hear tell she had a pretty epic night, though, which apparently culminated with her dancing in the Dolls’ House. Nice. I stayed home and played games like the lame individual I am. That, and I had work early the next day. Managed to epically sleep in on Wednesday, was a freakin’ hour later, gyah. Had to make it up the next day, and barely made it to work as-is. I have physical problems getting out of bed when it’s cold. Really.
Friday, on the other hand, I felt a tad guilty and did go out. Gotta keep the fanbase happy, after all. Went off, unsurprisingly, to Granite, and hung out with Dangles and friends as per usual. Aaron’s not been around so much owing to being in hospital. Had to have keyhole surgery on his heart since he gets chronic heartburn. Not so nice. Seems good to go now, though he’ll be smoking and drinking less – apparently he woke up to find he had no less than five keyholes in his chest, heh!
Since it’s been so long since I’ve blogged properly, I’ll not go through with the regular Weekend Report styles, instead just noting the standout events. More interesting that way, don’tcha know. For instance, been catching up with DJ a bit at Granite. He’s been seeing a girl whose name eludes me at present, but she’s the spitting image of a girl who used to work at Micky’s by the name of Louise (No, not that Louise). I always found Louise oddly intriguing, though only ever hung out with her a couple of times. Apparently DJ thought the girl looked like Louise too, heh. Had some random conversations with him recently, apparently it’s very hard to tell when I’m drunk because I put a lot of effort into remaining stable..
On one of the past Fridays, Granite was a bit dead, so Matt and Mark and I decided to see what else was around in town. Ran into Emma B and Natalie and their other friend I believe is named Meg, who said Micky’s sucked, so ‘twas off to StockxChange. Hadn’t been there in an age, despite having a VIP card for the place, they do still text me on occasion. Was ever so surprised to find little Lisa James working there – I remembered running into her at Granite a while back, just after she’d quit Rockpool, so ‘twas neat to catch up. Seems to be doing alright for herself, though she’s not with Louie anymore, aww.
That particular night, ended up hanging out with Danny and Emma/Natalie/Meg. There was some kind of drama going on, surprisingly enough, I stayed out of it. Went to BK with Danny and returned bearing five cheeseburgers and five vege burgers – the vegeburgers were much more expensive than the cheeseburgers, which amused. “He paid less and got meat!” The vegeburgers were actually pretty good, though, even if they were five bucks a piece. Danny zapped off and I made sure the others got into a taxi alright, so a happy ending, I

Right. Forcing myself to be organised. Currently Wednesday, and I’m home sick from work. This sucks as I’ve now only got two sick days left for the whole of the year, gyah. If I take Leave Without Pay they’ll crucify me or disembowel me or something.
Okay, yeah, it’s Thursday now, I fail at earlier schedules. Still, exactly a week since the last. Eh, eh? Applaud, bitchknuckles.

Thursday: Last Thursday I did NOTHING. Nothing interesting, anyway. I was all super-tired for some reason and decided I’d spend an evening at home, doing productive things like fixing my uncle’s computer and not spending money. The uncle’s computer thing was kinda funny. He came and got me after work on Tuesday, since his email wasn’t working, and his laptop was laced with nasty viruses. Cooked a tasty tea, though, so it worked out.
The email I fixed by changing the servers, since he was using an Ihug email address on a Clearnet connection, and Ihug have now been Et by Vodafone and have nothing helpful on their site. The laptop, however, took some work. Had to take it with me. Y’see, by going to assorted unscrupulous websites, he’s managed to get tons of spyware and Trojan antivirus programs. Got him a real antivirus and spyware scanner, killed most of them, but they’d screwed up some semi-important files in the process, meaning I have to manually start windows explorer each time I boot the thing (And yes, I am tempted to boot it).
Pretty much going to be a nuke-and-pave situation, just have to back up the lot. He wants to keep the pics and docs, so ‘twill be a bit of a process. Always up for a challenge, mind you. Only had the thing for a week so far, so progress is a tad slow. But I’ll get there, just like I get there with everything else.
Friday, Friday was really rather fun and different. Went to see Iron Man, which I’d heard nothing but good reports about. Had meant to see it earlier, but I don’t really go to the movies that often, and the flatmates had seen it without me, so. I’m not the world’s biggest Iron Man fan, though I know people that are Iron Man fans, and they’ve said it’s great too. Always hard striking a balance between a good movie and a good adaptation, most movies fail at both. I’m pleased to say Iron Man wasn’t one of them. Go see it. Yeah.
Went to see it with New Friend Sarah The Muppet, and made the most of my vouchers. Randomly enough, despite the movie voucher being valid up ‘til the 1st of June, upon presenting it I got “I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that this voucher is no longer valid. The good news is that I can give you the new rates, which’ll be $2 less.” So I got two tickets for $9 each on a Friday. Score!
We then wandered across the road to the supermarket. Totally in the mood for Movie Snacks, but not in the mood for spending tons on them at the candy bar. Thus, it was bulk bin raiding time! I got gummies of the bear, berry, and coke bottle variety, and those odd things that look like little UFOs but are apparently tops of some kind. Look kinda like Madonna boobs. Them. Plus a bag of Pop’n’Good popcorn, that stuff rules. Tried that new Relentless energy drink, which was average. Demon kicks its ass. Like totally.
Also! Special mention here of that flavoured mineral watery stuff that comes in the plastic bottle with a can top. So weird. Hybrid of can and bottle, truly unnatural. Also presents one with a confusing dilemma on which recycling pile to put them in. But I appreciate the novelty, and hey, I bought one. The orange tastes like watery Fanta. I kept the can to take a photo of.
Having done the movie thing, the food thing seemed an idea, so I whisked out a Denny’s voucher. Yay for 24 hours of food! Wasn’t extraspecially hungry after eating all the movie snacks, but hey. They had all sorts of weird things on the menu, like the Millennium Burger, and things labelled ‘triple’ t

on friday there was this big funeral in wellington for the union secretary for the buses sooo about 1/3rd of all the bus drivers wanted to go (payed leave i mean i dont think all of them knew him!!)
so anyways everything was delayed like heaps! like an hour or something lol was so busy at work
then we got some guy calling up and asking what was happening, so my collegue said there were delays because of the funeral, the guy then said how it was highly inconventient to 30,000 people that this guy decided to die! some poor family is grieveing and this guy wanted us to tel them how inconvenient it was
